I could tell you I've been a movie and camera nerd since I was a kid, but I would be lying…
My story begins with a French father and a Dutch mother moving to Belgium and having me.
Growing up, I spent most of my time outdoors or playing drums.
But then I found a new interest.
I started developing my first black-and-white photos
and filming my friends' mountain bike adventures.
’Aftermovies’ became a thing:
I ended up filming more parties than I actually partied at myself.
In 2012 I headed to Narafi film school in Brussels, meeting great people
and finding my way in this exciting new world.
That led me to my first steps in documentaries, commercials, music video’s and TV projects.
Fast forward 10 years, and I found myself asking ‘why do I love doing this so much?’
Here’s my best answer:
As a cinematographer, I thrive when I can:
-help take a film to a higher (visual) level
-collaborate with inspiring, creative people
-make (even the smallest) impact whilst doing what I enjoy most
-come home, recharge, and do it all over again
I’m based in Ronse, Belgium (near Ghent), but I’m comfortable working just about anywhere.
Communication is key, so I speak:
Dutch (native)
French (native)
English (fluent)
Spanish (beginner — ¡ hola supermercado!)
